Return Policy
Effective Date: April 10, 2026
This Return Policy applies to all purchases made through SunTayo.ca or at our local retail store. Please review this policy carefully. By placing an order with us, you agree to the terms outlined below.
1. Returns Overview
We accept returns for refund or exchange within 30 days of the original purchase date for eligible items. To be eligible for a return, your item must be:
- Unused and in the same condition that you received it.
- In the original packaging with all tags and labels attached.
- Accompanied by a receipt or proof of purchase.
2. Return Process
To initiate a return, you must first contact us at info@suntayo.ca to request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. Returns sent without an RMA number will not be accepted.
For Online Purchases (Via Canada Post): You can return items using Canada Post. Please use the retailer’s provided prepaid label. Alternatively, you can create one online via the Canada Post "Get a return label" tool using our designated "PR" ID number (provided upon RMA approval).
For Local/In-Store Returns: You may also process your return locally. Please bring the eligible item, along with your proof of purchase, to our store located at:

3. Non-Returnable Items (Including Coffee)
We strictly comply with the Consumer Protection Act and other mandatory laws of the Province of Ontario and Canada. For health and safety reasons, roasted coffee and other food products are considered perishable goods and are strictly non-returnable. Exceptions are only made if the product is defective, damaged upon arrival, or if an incorrect item was shipped.
Subject to a case-by-case analysis regarding legal obligations, other typically non-returnable items include:
- Perishable goods (e.g., coffee, food, flowers, newspapers, or magazines).
- Intimate or sanitary goods.
- Gift cards.
- Downloadable software products.
- Final sale or clearance items.
4. Condition of Returned Items
We reserve the right to refuse a return if the merchandise does not meet the standards outlined in Section 1 (Returns Overview). Items that show signs of use, wear and tear, or damage (unless the damage occurred during original shipping) will be sent back to the customer.
5. Shipping Costs for Returns
Unless you are using a provided prepaid label or PR ID for an eligible defective item, the customer is responsible for paying the shipping costs for returning the item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
If the return is due to an error on our part (e.g., wrong item received or defective coffee), SunTayo will cover the return shipping costs.
6. Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you via email of the approval or rejection of your refund. If approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment, typically within 7-10 business days.
7. Exchanges
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange an eligible item for the exact same product, please send us an email at info@suntayo.ca for instructions.
8. International Returns
Customers outside of Canada are responsible for all customs duties, taxes, and return shipping charges incurred when returning items to SunTayo. International purchases ONLY by request.
9. Policy Changes
SunTayo reserves the right to update, modify, or replace any part of this Return Policy at any time without prior notice. Updates will be posted on this page with a new “Effective Date.”
